American Idol Season 9 Winner Lee DeWyze in Manila

Lee DeWyze was in Manila for a two-day show to promote his debut album "Live It Up". Lee performed at the Venice Piazza at the McKinley Hill last May 7 and at the Eastwood City Open Park on May 8.

Inspired by musicians like Dave Matthews, Ben Harper, Ray LaMontagne, Cat Stevens, and Kris Kristofferson, DeWyze created "Live It Up" with the intent to lead listeners through compelling tales of relationships, with all their ups and downs. Starting with his cheerful first single, "Sweet Serendipity", DeWyze sets a free-wheeling and light tome. Lee then explores themes of romantic uplift with "Weightless", regret wuth "Stay Here" and "Dear Isabelle", then conveys passionate urgency on the piano-driven tracks, "Me and My Jealousy" and his new single "Beautiful Like You".

Collaborating with Toby Gad (Alicia Keys, Fergie), John Shanks (Bon Jovi, Sheryl Crow), David Hodges (Kelly Clarkson, Weezer), and Norwegian production team Espionage (Beyonce, Train), DeWyze co-wrote all but one song on the album, and such has become the very first American Idol winner to have writing credit on a first single. "To see my name listed in the credits on each song was really important to me because I'm a songwriter," DeWyze says. "I also loved working with such talented writers. They all brought so much to the table and helped me flesh out my sound... I want people to relate to these songs".

Lee DeWyze 'Live It Up' tour is presented by Megaworld in cooperation with Sony Music, Eastwood City, Venice Piazza, Richmonde Hotel, Business World, Herworld.com, FOX, Star World, and Magic 89.9.

"Live It Up" by Lee DeWyze is now available in CDs at leading record stores under Sony Music. To download Lee DeWyze mobile contents, just text LEE to 3456.
