Esquire Financing: Devoted to the Philippines' Economic Growth

President Aquino’s SONA reflects ESQUIRE FINANCING’s devotion to Philippines’ economic growth.

Data from the Bangko Sentral showed that micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) make up 99.6 percent of the total number of enterprises, account for almost 70 percent of total jobs generated, and contribute 32 percent of the GDP.

President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino‘s recent State of The Nation Address (SONA) stirred up hope and inspiration, given the numbers from Bangko Sentral. Aside from a rundown of his cabinet’s accomplishments and to do list, Aquino proudly emphasized that “what was once the sick man of Asia now brims with vitality”. The President substantiated this claim with the 6.4 percent growth in the GDP in the first quarter of the year, the highest in Southeast Asia. Aquino shared how commentators from the international community have lauded these achievements, with Foreign Policy Magazine even calling the Philippines “Asia’s Next Tiger” and financial giant Morgan Stanley investing a billion dollars in Philippine markets.

ESQUIRE FINANCING Inc’s President/CEO Rajan Uttamchandani shares the country leader’s and the international media’s optimism and believes that more small and medium entrepreneurs take advantage of the strong economy. EFI, the leader in Growth Stage financing, provides hassle-free and non-collateral business loans to growing businesses.

Ashley's Day Out at Infinity Tutorial Services

Infinity Tutorial Services had a Family Day last August 3 and I was invited through Buyanihan Digital. It was requested that I bring friends, kid-relatives or friends with kids so we can experience fun and learning altogether. But sadly, those who I have invited weren't able to come due to (about-to-be-super) bad weather. Luckily, I called my aunt asking if I can bring my cousin (who is already an adult) to the Fam Day the next day. She said they'd be coming over to our house the following day so we'd try to make it work from there. She also mentioned she'd be bringing her friend and her friend's grandkid, Ashley, so maybe we can bring them to the event.

Saturday morning, I was expecting them to arrive early/earlier and they arrived at noon. Late! Not that I'm blaming anyone, they're giving me a favor as well, but I have accepted the fact that we are going to be late to the event since it's gonna start at 3pm. We left our place around 3pm and arrived at Infinity around 4:30pm. The fun starts there.

Upon entering Infinity Tutorial Services unit, Ashley instantly said, "Whoa!". She liked it. Cool. There were kids in ballet attire, I think they have just finished their ballet class. We were welcomed by people from both Buyanihan Digital and Infinity and were led to a room where we can paint.

We probably were in their Arts and Crafts room, then after a while, I looked around the unit and there were play, lecture and dance rooms. The lecture rooms is where I found a kiosk of Easy Pha-max Wheatgrass. They probably had lectures about health and healthy eating. I came back and told my aunt about the rooms. Ashley sneaked out of our sight and checked it out for herself, all the while when we were checking out Infinity's brochures. When Ashley came back, she's already loving the place. We let her play, we continued painting (she asked me to make her a butterfly mask because there already was a cat mask).

Time has come for us to leave and we found Ashley alone in the play room having the time of her life. The other kids were in the dance room learning Karate (they were the kids from Ballet class, imagine how funny that looked), so there aren't many to play with. She still didn't wanna leave so her grandma told her they'd come back, but this time she'll be learning how to play the violin. They were really considering that, me and my aunt on the otherhand, are thinking of enrolling as well. I wanted Foreign Languages and violin lessons, I think she wanted violin lessons too, but we're still both busy with me in school and she with business.

For more information about Infinity Tutorial Services and what lessons they offer, call them at (02) 4785957,  09228785919 or 09178005046. E-mail them at CS@infinitytutorial.com. Official website is www.infinitytutorial.com. Give them a visit in Units 1003-1006 Trade and Finance Tower, 7th cor. 32nd Sts., The Fort, Taguig City (near Starbucks, S&R, and St. Luke's Medical Center).

Wheatgrass Chronicles Part 6

hello! the wheatgrass chronicles resurfaces once more after quite a (coerced) hiatus. it's been almost two months since the last chronicles and i posted just one blog about wheatgrass the past month. disappointing as it is, i wasn't able to blog as much like before because my monster of a brother have been hoarding the internet. on the bright side, he's leaving again (to my utmost delight and relief) for Australia (and i can't wait for September).

as i have previously written before (have i? i don't remember clearly), i am in a culinary school, training to be a chef (obviously). i have (probably) mentioned i might try and infuse wheatgrass into recipes i'm gonna learn. well, guess what?! the more i learn, the more i realize i couldn't just play with recipes like i used to as it sort of ruin the recipe. well, it's more like playing with it will make or break the recipe.

i also have kept in mind the cardinal rule of wheatgrass that if i infuse wheatgrass into what i'll be making, it should not be heated as it will kill the enzymes of the wheatgrass, and that left me in a standstill. i always have this thought "to do or not to do" whenever i start to think of infusing wheatgrass. i also don't like throwing food. i never have, and now more than ever. i have been growing sick of food as it is what i make every single school day. now, i kind of think i only eat because i have to, and i barely enjoy it. will that change? i hope so. what would that make me? it doesn't look good if a chef isn't a fan of food, right?

in class, we've been baking the past two months (almost), and will go on for two more months baking before we head to the culinary part of the curriculum. i have thought of making breads infused with wheatgrass and i have finally thought of one bread where i could actually infuse wheatgrass with: croissant. the thing is, it's one hell of a bloody bread as it takes about three days and really very cold dough, butter and hands before i could actually come out with a finished product. but it doesn't really come with the croissant, it's gonna be with the filling which is custard. i have planned to infuse wheatgrass to the custard when it is starting to cool. that way, i wouldn't have violated the cardinal rule of wheatgrass. now that i've thought about it, let me suggest for you to try making wheatgrass leche flan, just add a packet or two when the custard is starting to settle.

another recipe i'm dying to try is Wheatgrass Latte, which is actually the reason i'm writing this post. i have come across a recipe for Matcha (Green Tea) Latte, i thought why not replace matcha with wheatgrass. after all, they look the same but they obviously tastes different.

Wheatgrass Latte
2 packets of Easy Pha-max Wheatgrass (Pure or with Honey)
500ml fresh milk (your choice: full cream, low-fat, non-fat, skimmed)
ice (crushed or cubes, your choice)
sugar or honey, to sweeten

in a blender, whip milk until foamy. add the wheatgrass and sweetener. add the ice and blend until it reaches the consistency of a slushy and serve. OR pour into a glass then add the ice cubes and enjoy.

until next post. wishing it'll be within this month.

Fra Lippo Lippi’s Per Sorensen is Master of Imperfection

International singer-songwriter Per Sorensen, the voice behind the bestselling Norwegian music export Fra Lippo Lippi, has released his new solo albumMaster of Imperfection, which includes his new recordings of Fra Lippo Lippi’s classics Later and Beauty and Madness.

The album has Loneliness as his first single and a cover of James Taylor’s Fire and Rain.

Master of Imperfection highlights the endearing vulnerability to Per’s voice, where melancholia pours down to the cracks of these tracks.

Per adds, “In 1986, I wrote the song Beauty and Madness with lyricist Rune Kristoffersen for the upcoming Fra Lippo Lippi album Light and Shade (1987). You're either too young to remember, or too old, for that matter. Anyway, I love that song, so I re-recorded it for this album. Hope you like it, too!”

Master of Imperfection includes ten songs, which, hopefully, will lift music fans’ souls for some forty `minutes

"Master of Imperfection" Tracklist:

1. I Hurt You
2. Tell Me Once
3. Will I Recognize
4. Beauty and Madness
5. Later
6. The Truth Behind Our Lies
7. Loneliness
9. The Waiting Game
9. It Could Be Nice
10. Fire and Rain
