At the Blogger Fiesta...

at the blogger fiesta, i was one of the staff of the event. me, Michelle and Tess were in charge of the prizes and inventory of it. we had our seats on the side with all the stuff to be given away. seated with us were the hosts, Flow and Omar, while the speakers are up on stage (not really on stage though).

until now, i am still thinking about the conversation Flow and i had about him preferring having an event like we were having be held in the provinces because he said the bloggers from the provinces are the likes that really listen to the speakers. it's not like it's bothering me, i just keep on thinking about it because, in my mind, i try to differentiate the bloggers from the provinces from the Manila bloggers.

i told him, the bloggers from the province are really eager to learn, and they really want to know how to do things. and he agreed with what i said. the conversation ended there because he had to go back to his hosting stint and a raffle is coming up shortly, so i, too, need to go back to doing my duty.

and from there, the thought never left my mind. maybe it's because i haven't pointed out what was it with Manila bloggers being different from the others. or maybe it's in defense of what he said and preferred. there's nothing wrong with what he said, don't get me wrong. but i really keep on thinking about it. i am a Manila blogger, and this is not to defend the differentiation/s made above. this is not an issue, this is just a thought i've been having for like, 24 hours now.

so far, what i have in mind about Manila bloggers, or bloggers from Manila at that, is that, yeah, just like our counterparts from the provinces, we also wanna learn about stuff, but yeah, we barely listen to the speakers on seminars or events like that. why? i've observed that Manila bloggers would rather find things out on their own and learn it their way. we also have our opinions, which, when some of us listen, we tend to disagree with the speaker/s on some point of their speech. i don't really see anything wrong with that though. but maybe, that's because that exactly is what differentiate the bloggers of Manila from the rest. we are a diverse kind of people who have our own opinion, our own way of learning things and our way of finding for ourselves how to do things our own special way.

it's just my opinion, anyway.
